新加坡建國總理李光耀昨辭世，總統馬英九今（24）日搭乘11時30分華航班機飛往新加坡致哀，但府方沒有對外證實這項消息。
馬總統上午前往機場搭機，據了解，原本外交部規劃由和新加坡淵源很深的前副總統蕭萬長代表致哀，不過最後決定由馬總統親自前往致意，隨即返回台灣，並定位為「私人致哀」。
